Now that your novel is solidly constructed, it's time to polish the prose! I will assess each sentence and paragraph for elements including style, voice, tone, flow, pacing, organization, consistency, and word choice, making suggested revisions in Track Changes. I will also provide you a brief edit letter detailing specific items of note, such as overused words and phrases.

Included in this service are corrections for errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Your query letter is crucial for making a strong first impression on agents and publishers. I will examine your letter and synopsis for structure, clarity, adherence to industry standards, and overall impact. You may also request feedback on other query details, like comparative titles.

I will edit for structural details large and small. These range from considering the relevance of every chapter to the strength of each individual scene to the optimal order of paragraphs. Additionally, I will make in-line editorial suggestions to strengthen every core aspect of your story, including character, plot, and setting.

You will receive a thoroughly marked-up manuscript and

20-25 page edit letter.

A keen once-over to catch any typos and formatting errors before your book goes to print.

Your manuscript is complete! You've sent it to layout, and now it's ready for publication.
But wait. . . there's one more step.
This final proofread will raise your book from amateur to professional.

A big-picture deep dive into your completed manuscript or outline.

I will evaluate everything necessary to the foundation of a successful novel:  plot, structure, story beats, character arcs,  setting, themes, and more.

In addition to comments

detailing my moment-to-moment reactions, you will receive a 4-6 page report detailing the manuscript's overall strengths and weaknesses, including suggested revisions.

Unlike a line edit, I will edit solely for the sake of correctness, fixing typos and flagging errors in punctuation & grammar. I will offer helpful suggestions for ways to correct these errors, but leave all final decisions in your hands.
